The First Stage of Our Life – Childhood
Lord Vinayagar (Ganesha), the first and foremost of all deities, appears here in the divine form of a child (Bāla form), with three faces looking toward three directions, seated gracefully with His lotus-like feet spread open.
In spirituality, the number three holds countless meanings. Though in a child form, He embodies within Himself the essence of the Trimurthis (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva), the three divine goddesses, the three dimensions of time (past, present, and future), and the three fundamental energies (Shaktis) of the universe.
A unique feature of this deity is that worshipping Him continuously for six weeks on Sankatahara Chaturthi days, adorning Him with a pomegranate garland and offering prayers with devotion, is believed to bless devotees with the boon of progeny (childbirth) and remove obstacles in life.
The Beginning Stage of Life – The School Age
Bāla Thiripurasundari, lovingly called Bālambikai, is a divine aspect of Navadurga. She appears in the serene form of a five-year-old girl, seated gracefully, radiating compassion and divine beauty.
A woman is the abode of Shakti (divine energy), and through this child form, the Goddess conveys that a woman’s power is boundless at every stage of life.
Just as a playful child listens only to genuine love and affection, this divine child too responds only to pure-hearted devotion. When devotees approach Her with childlike faith, offering sweets and school supplies symbolizing the stage of learning, She lovingly accepts them.
She is the gracious giver of wisdom and academic success, blessing children to excel in studies and shine in knowledge.
A unique divine quality of Bāla Thiripurasundari is that when devotees pray to her desiring a child like Bāla herself, she blesses them by being born as their own child — a rare and sacred miracle of her grace.
The Most Crucial Stage of Life – Youth
Though He is the Commander of all celestial armies, the divine form of Lord Murugan, lovingly called Aadhi Siddhar by spiritual devotees, appears here in serene beauty, bestowing blessings through deep meditation upon those who seek wisdom.
Youth is the turning point of life, a stage often filled with distractions and emotional turbulence. It is Aadhi Siddhar, the Divine Warrior, who reins in these wandering thoughts and brings discipline and inner balance to the mind.
For those who seek spiritual growth, He teaches that the true path lies in deep meditation and self-control.
Aadhi Siddhar is the one who transforms even a mad mind into a realized soul, showering His infinite grace upon all who surrender to Him.
The Turning Point of Life – The Stage of Marriage
In this sacred form, Harihara Nandhini, Lord Thirumal (Vishnu) is seen seated with Mother Nandhini on His left side, embracing Her lovingly — both appearing as one divine being, with their hands and feet united in perfect harmony, radiating beauty and grace.
Marriage is not merely the union of a man and a woman; it is the divine merging of two sacred energies.
When either energy seeks dominance or becomes lesser than the other, balance is lost. The essence of a successful marriage lies in this divine equilibrium, where both souls journey together in mutual understanding and love.
Harihara Nandhini symbolize this perfect harmony of union, representing the ideal of spiritually balanced companionship.
It is believed that those who worship Harihara Nandhini with a unified heart and sincere devotion are blessed with the removal of marriage obstacles, harmony in their relationship, and a prosperous, peaceful marital life.
